There are no translations available. 14 Haziran 2010 Pazartesi günü TBMM Sabit Osman Avcı Sosyal Tesislerinde yapılan YASADER Genel Kuruluna saygı duruşu ve İstiklal Marşı’yla başlandı. Genel Kurul Toplantısını yönetecek Başkanlık Divanının seçiminin ardından Divan Başkanı Ali ÖZER, yeterli çoğunluğun bulunduğunu belirterek toplantıyı açtı.
Haziran 2008’de seçilen Yönetim Kurulunun iki yıllık dönem içerisindeki çalışmalarının değerlendirildiği Denetim Kurulu raporu, Denetim Kurulu Başkanı Habip KOCAMAN tarafından, gerçekleştirilen faaliyetlerin özetlendiği Yönetim Kurulu faaliyet raporu ise Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Dr. İrfan Neziroğlu tarafından sunuldu. Danışma Kurulu üyesi İsmail Düzgün ÖZGÖR, faaliyet raporu üzerinde görüşlerini açıklarken her üyenin Derneğe elinden gelen katkıyı vermesi gerektiğini ifade etti.

They made presentations to the NGO representatives about the participation of civil society to the law making and oversight process in Turkish Grand National Assembly.

 Turkish Association of Legislation organised a seminar on legislation for the advisors to MPs on April 4 and April 9 2010 with the Association of Parliamentary Advisors. During the two days seminar, experts from Turkish Parliament and Prime Ministry made presentations on Legislation Techniques, Law Making Process, Basic Concepts of Legislation, Preparation of Government Bills and the Role of Prime Ministry, Parliamentary Committees, Law Making in the Committees, Plenary Sessions, Oral and Written Questions, Other Parliamentary Oversight Mechanisms, Parliamentary Library, Research Service and Minutes of Debates.
The advisors are very much interested in the seminar. The participants are given certificate at the end of the program. The members of the Bureau of the Assembly of Turkish - Deputy Speaker Mr. Nevzat Pakdil, administrative members Mr. Ahmet Küçük (Deputy for Çanakkale) and Mr. Sırrı Sakık (Deputy for Muş) also participated the closing ceremony and made short speeches. The Association of Parliamentary Advisors presented a plate to Dr. İrfan Neziroğlu –Chairman of Turkish Association of Legislation- for his contribution to the program.

Habip Kocaman and Dr. Fahri Bakırcı, members of Turkish Association of Legislation, made a presentation for the members of Beyazay Association on April 3, 2010 in İstanbul. Mr. Lokman Ayva, Deputy for İstanbul and Chairman of Beyazay Association, also participated the meeting. Mr. Bakırcı talked about the law making process in the committees and plenary. Mr. Kocaman’s presentation was about the parliamentary oversight mechanisms. The aim of this seminar is to increase active participation of disabled people to the legislative process.

 Board Members of Turkish Association of Legislation (TAL) and editorial board of Turkish Journal of Association visited Association of Parliamentary Correspondents on March 19, 2010. Dr. İrfan Neziroğlu, chariman of TAL, gave information about the activities and future projects of YASADER. The Parliamentary Handbook for Civil Society was introduced to the participants. Dr. Neziroğlu said that the Handbook would be printed in Braille alphabet for blind people. Organisation of training programs for advisors and secretaries to MPs, handbooks for MPs and seminar on law making process were mentioned among the future activities of YASADER.

Consumer School Project

 The first seminar of Consumer School Project was held in Ankara on March 14, 2010. Consumers Union’s Project was supported by Ankara Bar Association (ABA) and Turkish Association of Legislation (TAL). Members of Professional Carpet Cleaning Union attended the program.
Mr. Onur Çekiç, member of TAL, made a presentation about the law making and oversight project in Parliament. He especially talked about the alternatives for civil society members to participate the legislative process in the Parliament. Mr. Gürsel Erkoç, from Consumers’ Rights Committee of ABA, talked about theoretical base of consumer rights. Finally, Mr. Hakan Tokbaş, chairman of Ankara office of Consumers Union, gave practical information about consumer rights.
The participants were given certificate at the end of seminar.
